About Me
Read MoreI wish I had a camera wired to my eyes.
But then I wouldn't have access to enough hard drive space to store all of the images I wish I had taken.
Constantly scanning my surroundings, I'm always looking for those lines, shapes and shades that excite me. They are everywhere; in the city, in the country, in the wilderness.
Lines, shapes and shades.
It all started in the late '80s when I bought my first 35mm camera, then learned to develop the black and white film in the darkroom. Lines, shapes and shades determined a successful image then and that continues today. Even with my digital camera, my instant review on the back of the camera is in black and white because I am mainly interested in those lines, shapes and shades. Even if my goal is a color image.
I won't deign to tell you what you should see or feel in an image. An image that appears to be fairly straightforward can evoke powerful feelings depending on the viewer. For others, they don't. That's your experience, a valuable one at that.
If one image strikes you particularly, please let me know by using the comment box below each image and gallery. I'd love to hear how it impacted you. If you're willing, I'll share what it does for me.
Thank you for viewing.
