About Me
We'll discuss how you would like to see yourself in the final image, how much you would like to see those experience lines, how prominent you would like to see your mole. Whether or not you would care to see those transient blemishes that we all get from time to time.
They can all go away, they can all stay, or somewhere in between.
Your choice. What you might have a more difficult time finding in my portfolios are portraits. Rest assured, I do take those as well.
And they are different.
I don't follow a standard set of poses. I don't use a standard set of processes that give you a typical image. Certainly not the same as you would find for portraits of a friend's family taken by another photographer.
In other words, different.
The poses that we will capture are ones that we've discussed during our first meeting, plus perhaps a few different ones based on thoughts after that conversation. The photo session will be fluid, based on your personality, your passions and the personal interaction that you and I will have based on our initial meeting.
The results will be a unique look. A real look.
A different look. And let us not forget our furry family.
Our furkids pass through our lives much too quickly. Often before we realize. What better way than to have their portrait hanging on the wall, even long before they have crossed the bridge? Either by themselves or with their human family, we can capture that feeling that your furkid brings your family.
And if your family addition just happens to have scales, feathers or any other body covering, whether they walk, run, crawl, slither, fly or swim, we will make sure you have an enduring memory.
By the way, that's my furkid, a rescued greyhound. While his racing name was SMK Skynyrd (as in Lynyrd Skynyrd), we just called him Skinny.
Unfortunately, Skinny crossed the Rainbow Bridge in late summer of 2014. While we're thankful for the time that we had with him, we are especially thankful to have portraits of him to hang on our wall.
I'm sure you would be thankful to have portraits of your furkids too."On two occasions, my husband, two young boys, and I were fortunate to have Bill take photos of us. Bill's warm and friendly personality put us at ease to just relax and play together--all the while, Bill's camera was clicking.
With other photographers, I have found that the camera was the focal point of the sitting and the resulting pictures seemed artificial, stiff, and staged. That was NOT the case with Bill's creations. Bill and his camera folded seamlessly into a simple evening at home and a family walk in the park. He captured natural, intimate family moments. There were a lot of times we did not even know he was shooting!
When we invited Bill to spend an afternoon with our family, he captured the beauty in the simpler moments in our lives. We cherish the photos he created. We can't wait to do it again!" - Heather G.
And that is what I mean by different. You are the focus and you will be the focus, from beginning to end.
Exactly as it should be.
